This LG refrigerator was a standout during our tests. It offers plenty of space to feed a family, but we found a few annoying issues. First the freezer drawers don't remain as cold as we would like. The middle drawer reached 41 degrees during our maximum testing which is hot enough for ice cream and other frozen food items. The temperature in the rest of the freezer remained at about 36 degrees.
The doors of the refrigerator also have sunken handles that make it difficult for those with smaller hands to close. It might seem like a minor thing but we prefer front mounted handles on fridges so they're more convenient to open and close.
The fridge is costly however it is worth it for anyone looking to have a sleek look in their kitchen. We recommend this fridge for those who want to upgrade their existing refrigerator, or for those who are building a brand new home and want a more integrated look in the kitchen.

It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also performed well during our cooling test, however we aren't fans of the plastic handles or the fragile crisper bins.
One thing that sets the RF23M8090SG apart is the Bespoke line that lets you personalize your fridge by removing colored panels that can be swapped when you're tired of the current ones. There are 11 color options, from soft pastels to bolder hues and four metallic finishes. Some of the panels can be customized with photos or text which makes the fridge a more personal touch point that will match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.

The RF23M8090SG's only real knocks are its slightly cramped beverage center and some learning curve in opening the door-in-door feature which houses a water jug and dispenser. You need to look for an opening on the side of the door that is halfway across, and when you do, it opens another door inside the fridge that contains the pitcher docking station along with the water dispenser as well as two shelves for drinks.
The 6.8 cubic foot freezer compartment is large enough to store a lot frozen food items. It also comes with an open drawer that lets you access the food you need without having to open the entire compartment. This drawer is locked by using a password to ensure that any unwanted guests are kept out. It also comes with a handy LED to help you see what's inside at a glance. The freezer can also monitor energy usage and help you cut down on your power bill with the SmartThings with smart-enabled Energy mode.
